Nap timer
Nap timer for iPhone: set the length, choose the wake-up sound
Nap mode is a timed rest and fixed-time wake-up path in the released Restful App. It is distinct from the optional night sound curve.
Choose unlimited, 10, 20, 30, or 60 minutes, or a custom length up to six hours. Select a wake tone, then start the nap. Nap mode does not record or analyse the night.

How it works
Set a 20-minute nap, or a custom length up to six hours
Choose the nap length
Use a preset of 10, 20, 30, or 60 minutes, a custom length up to six hours, or the unlimited option. The selected length controls the nap wake-up, not the sound mixer’s playback timer.
Pick a wake tone
Select a tone from the App’s fixed-time alarm choices. Restful does not infer a light-sleep window or move the alarm according to the night-sound chart.
Add sound only if you want it
Nap mode can use the sound library. Set the separate audio timer to 10, 15, 20, or 30 minutes when you want the sound to end before your nap does.
The details
Nap timer vs sound timer
The nap length decides when the wake-up tone plays. The separate nap music timer, with the same 10, 15, 20 or 30 minute choices as the sound timer, decides when the sound stops. Set them independently.
Naps are never recorded and do not produce the relative sound curve. The curve is an optional setting for a night session, and it is off by default.
There is no claim here that an iPhone alarm is guaranteed under every power, interruption, or permission condition; test your chosen alert setup before relying on it.
Limits
Before relying on a wake-up
- The alarm is set for the time you choose. It is not a smart alarm and does not detect sleep stages.
- Device notification settings, Focus modes and interruptions such as calls can affect alerts.
- If a wake-up is important, confirm your selected tone and keep a separate reliable alarm as a backup.
A direct answer
Does a nap require microphone permission?
No. Naps never use the microphone; only a night with the optional sound curve turned on records room sound.
